Willington Hall Wedding Photography- Darren & Kathryn
I had the pleasure of photographing the most amazing wedding a few weeks ago, with my lovely friend Rachel from Rachel Joyce Photography. The Wedding was at Willington Hall in Willington, Cheshire and boy was this wedding venue amazing! As you pull into the long scenic driveway surrounded by gorgeous cheshire countryside you are already in love with the place, then the hall itself, is a beautiful feature filled period red brick building with perfectly manicured gardens on every side. In fact it has 17 acres of countryside surrounding it and is on the edge of Delamere forest. As a wedding venue, it really does have it all, with several beautiful rooms to choose from for the formalities and even an outdoor ‘temple’ nestled within the trees where Darren and Kathryn chose to have their outdoor ceremony. They lovingly referred to it as the temple of doom! But it reminded me of something out of the secret garden.
Kathryn and Darren wanted a relaxed informal day and they certainly got it, from the afternoon it was a gorgeous sunny day which meant that after the ceremony all the guests could relax with fizz on the terrace and enjoy the amazing views.
Kathryn made all her own wedding decorations from the table plan and table names to the post box and favours, using her graphic design background to make every little detail completely personal.
The speeches were hilarious and emotional with the grooms favourite tipple being passed around during his speech so that all guests could share a Jagerbomb with him, some were less thrilled than others, which made for some funny photos!
In the evening we even had the most beautiful sunset, which bathed the venue in the most gorgeous warm light and got me and Rachel rather excited as we took the lovely newlyweds for more portraits.
This wedding was amazing from start to finish, filled with such lovely people and a perfect day.
