Grace & Anthony are getting married next year and booked me earlier this year for their Wedding Photography. It’s always lovely to see my couples ahead of the wedding day. A chance to catch up and get to know each other. And more importantly, when we do an engagement session, it’s a great time to have some fun and reassure a camera shy couple. Most people feel uncomfortable being photographed, so my approach is to make it fun and remove the cheesy poses and forced smiles and replace them with real moments and lots of laughter. Granted, some of that laughter is at me! These two were super loved up and we had lots of fun working our way around the park having a giggle along the way.
Wedding Photography Mentoring in Lancashire
I recently started offering Wedding Photography Mentoring to aspiring Wedding Photographers from all over the UK. The programme consists of four separate sessions aimed at setting up any aspiring photographer to begin their wedding photography business. One of the sessions involves coming to an engagement session with me and Grace and Anthony kindly agreed to be our models for the day!
I spent the morning with Arwel who had combined his first two sessions and traveled up to Lancashire from Wales. We covered all aspects of shooting weddings, from Marketing methods and branding, through to customer service and delivery. We talked through equipment and chatted through a real wedding getting to grips with how i prepare for and shoot a wedding.
Then we headed over to Oakhill Park to meet this lovely pair whilst I showed Arwel how i achieve natural photographs and how i work with the couples. I absolutely love the colours in autumn and it made for some lovely colourful backdrops!
Here’s some of my favourites for Grace and Anthony, thank you again for stepping in to be our models for the day! Can’t wait to see you in August for the big day!
