Tipi Wedding in Lancashire

Vic and Ben’s gorgeous Tipi Wedding at Parr Hall Farm in Lancashire was one of my favourites EVER!

These two lovebirds met on a super romantic (slightly stalkerish) app similar to Tinder. Ben had seen Victoria walking past the local tube station a few times and after finding each other on the app they met up for a drink and have been together since! Ben popped the question under a weeping willow tree whilst on a punting boat in Oxford during a weekend away for Vic’s birthday.

Tipi Wedding in Lancashire

Ben and Victoria had a church ceremony at Ben’s family church then held their wedding party at Parr Hall Farm in a Triple Tipi which looked out of this world! Victoria being a fashion savvy assistant buyer and Ben a Garden designer was always going to mean something awesome for their Wedding.

Victoria wore a two piece Grace Loves Lace dress and Ben looked rather dapper in a brown Tweed suit. The family had been all hands on deck the week before the wedding to make sure everything was just perfect. Ben created an installation in the centre of one of the Tipi’s above the dance floor and there were moroccan style lamps and flowers everywhere. They chose mini succulents for the guest names and table numbers made from wine corks. So much effort went into the styling of this gorgeous Wedding!

Here’s some of my ultimate favourites along with their highlight slideshow.

Tipi Wedding Planning Tips

I’m going to be sharing some useful tips related to each blog post I write, so if you’re Wedding Planning make sure you follow us on Facebook or head over to the Wedding Planning area for more useful planning tips. This time it’s all about planning for a Tipi Wedding, here’s my three top tips!

  • Source a great Catering company – now this might sound obvious, we all want to eat scruffy food. But it’s more than that. A great catering company will liaise with the wedding party, DJ, Photographer to make sure you stick loosely to your chosen timings. Wild Garlic catered for Ben & Victoria’s Tipi Wedding and did such a great job of keeping everyone in the loop meaning that the food went out perfectly cooked!
  • Hire a Tipi that’s big enough! Super obvious right? You’d be surprised how many people don’t. Imagine the heavens open on the day and you’re all stuck inside, you’ll need plenty of space for the dance floor, tables and a separate bar area. The best Tipi Weddings I have been to have had a separate bar and seating area so lots of space to mingle! Think about the older people at the Wedding too, is there somewhere a bit quieter they can go to sit down?
  • Location is everything when planning a Tipi Wedding. My favourite places to hold a Tipi Wedding have to be Parr Hall Farm (see above Wedding) and Inglenook Farm. Both are surrounded by gorgeous fields and make the perfect backdrop for photos. You could then either camp on site or make use of the local accommodation.
