Next up is a gorgeous relaxed wedding in Foulridge and Gisburn and absolutely packed with gorgeous details, happy guests and the most gorgeous bride and groom. I had the pleasure of working with my lovely friend Rachel Joyce Photography on this wedding and we had an absolute ball as usual, it may or may not have been topped off by a surprise visit from some hunky firemen!
Rick and Mel got married at the beautiful St Michael and All Angels on Skipton Road in Foulridge. This church is pretty special, not only is it gorgeous inside but when you walk a few metres from the church door you are greeted with stunning lake views, how many churches have that!
Mel arrived with her bridesmaids and the weather gave her a very blustery entrance – which made for some fabulous photos as her veil blew away in the wind. The Ceremony was lovely and very personal to the newlyweds with several readers giving touching words of advice.
After the ceremony we all headed over to Stirk House to be greeted by the legendary Dave! Stirk House is a beautiful period building and the perfect wedding venue. The food is mouthwateringly amazing and the service is second to none with Dave treating every bride and groom like royalty and personally making sure they are cared for all day. The venue is surrounded by beautiful landscape and a short walk away is a stunning private wood which we decided to pay a visit after the meal as the light was to die for!
Rick’s work colleagues decided to come down and surprise him and his new wife in the Fire Engine which made for some slightly excited guests (and wedding photographers- ahem!)
Rick and Mel’s wedding was an absolute pleasure to be a part of and i’m sure they’ll have an amazing future together.
