A New York themed wedding at Stanley House in Mellor, Lancashire set within the gorgeous Lancashire countryside.
Lewis and Rebecca first met when they were 11 years old at school and have been together since they were 14 so its safe to say they are the best of friends, which shows as they are so completely relaxed with each other. Lewis proposed in Central Park, New York in a horse and carriage and luckily she said yes!
The wedding day morning arrived and the hustle and bustle of 6 bridesmaids, one flower girl and two mums made it a very busy morning in the bridal suite. Rebecca was calm and quiet and later admitted she was a teency wincy bit nervous! She looked absolutely stunning in her lace wedding dress and had the whole wedding party in tears as she revealed her dress to a room full of excited family members.
Over in the boys room Lewis was calming himself with a drop of gin, surrounded by an army of groomsmen and was reflecting on his nerves about giving his speech. The Ceremony was perfect and romantic as the bride and groom read their own heartfelt vows to each other.
After the ceremony the guests were greeted by glorious sunshine whilst they enjoyed the reception drinks and we managed to steal the bride and groom away for some portraits. There must be something about me that animals don’t quite like, after the swan attack at a recent wedding a few weeks back it was now time for a herd of cows to rather threateningly run towards us as we walked back to Stanley House. Luckily a fence separated us but they weren’t impressed about being in the wedding photos!
We ended with the speeches and left as the party was well and truly underway. Congratulations to you both and thank you for letting us be a part of it!
