A colourful wedding at Rochdale Town Hall
Debbie & Andy’s Rochdale Town Hall Wedding was an absolute jam packed day, they had thought about every single thing you can imagine to surprise and delight their guests from a refreshingly awesome magician to the bagpipe band they had play them into the wedding breakfast, it was only of those weddings you know will be talked about for years to come!
I’ve known Debbie and Andy for a few years now, after photographing Debbie’s daughter Sophie’s best friends wedding years ago i’ve done several family photo sessions for events and birthdays. This loved up pair actually went to school together but it was only when they came across each other online that they got in touch and started chatting before going on a date.
Rochdale Town Hall is an absolutely stunning building, with original vaulted ceilings, original artwork covering the walls and beautiful inside and out with it’s detailed architecture and sweeping staircase, i can see why they chose to have their wedding here!
On the day the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids got ready at the Town Hall and it was just a short walk to the ceremony where Debbie walked down the stairs to make her entrance. The guests were played into the wedding breakfast by a Bagpipe band which left hairs standing on the back of your neck and a serious lump in your throat, the whole room vibrated as they played a few songs for the guests.
During the wedding breakfast there was a magician to entertain guests, which definitely surprised a few cynical people at our table (including me!). Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for feeding us amazing food on the day, i hope you both have a lovely honeymoon in Spain for the summer.
