Newborn BABY Photo Shoots in CLITHEROE & preston, Lancashire

I’m a newborn baby photographer in Lancashire offering portrait sessions from the comfort of your home within the first few weeks after baby being born. I work throughout the whole of Lancashire and Manchester and do also travel further afield.

Q. “I’m pregnant now, when should I book my newborn session?”

A. You can book me anytime after your 20 week scan, booking early is advisable to allow me to block out plenty of time around your due date. I then keep in touch with you and ask that you get in touch soon after baby is born so we can arrange a suitable time for your session within the first two weeks of baby’s life. Newborns change every day, I like to capture the natural beauty of your little miracle; all the tiny details, the hands, feet, chord before they change forever. If you have found us a little later than your 20 week scan get in touch now to see if we can fit you in.

Q. “Where is the photoshoot and how long does it last?”

A. The session can be done in your home, i’ll bring everything to you, you’ll have enough to think about so I like to make things stress free for new parents. All babies are different and we do need them to sleep for most of the poses which can take a little time, sessions typically last around  2-3 hours but we won’t rush you!

Q. “My baby is older than two weeks, can I still book a session?”

A. Yes. Baby portraits can be done at any time, older babies tend to be harder to pose in the curly poses on the bean bag as they are more likely to wake up when we move them. But they can be posed in different ways and usually show the camera their beautiful bright eyes instead of sleeping right through! Check out baby Oscar’s session to see examples of posing older babies.

Q. “Can i include siblings in the photos?”

A. Of course. Siblings, parents and even pets can be included in the session alongside baby.

Q. “Are the poses safe?”

A. Safety is our number one priority, all babies are different and its very important for baby to be comfortable and supported at all times. Most of our posing is done on a bean bag covered with soft fluffy blankets, if baby allows us to put them into a certain position this is always done so that baby is supported by mum or dad’s hand and then we edit this out later.

Q. “Can we have a more natural shoot without props and posing”?

A. Yes, our portrait shoots are natural and unposed which you can find more information on here.

Q. “When will my photos be ready to see?”

A. Newborn images are all hand-finished and individually edited by me. A blog post will go up with some preview images within 2 weeks after the session and your disk of images will follow shortly after this in the post.
