Manchester Wedding Photography at Didsbury House Hotel

This gorgeous Manchester Wedding Photography at Didsbury House Hotel was one of my favourites last year. It was packed with Chinese traditions and so much colour.

Didsbury House Hotel Wedding

Jee Mei & Mark got married at Didsbury House Hotel in Manchester in an intimate ceremony with just close family and friends. They followed traditions and played a series of games called door opening games during the morning preparations. Mark had to pass a series of tests given to him by the bridesmaids in order to win his bride, luckily he passed them to their satisfaction and got to open the door to see his beautiful bride before the ceremony.

Chinese Wedding Photography

Jee Mei wore a beautiful lace wedding dress during the day and later changed into a traditional Chinese dress before the formal 17 course meal. Bridesmaids wore Navy and hot Pink which were also reflected in the florals around the venue and in the bouquets. Mark and the groomsmen wore super smart black two piece suits with kilts in traditional Scottish dress to recognise the family heritage.

After the ceremony there was a tea ceremony where both Jee Mei & Mark’s parents served each other with tea and gave gifts of money in beautiful red envelopes followed by a drinks reception before all the guests hopped onto a vintage wedding bus and headed over to Manchester City Centre to the Glamorous Chinese restaurant for the wedding breakfast. Parents had invited many of their own friends to attend the huge 17 course meal. We were rather lucky and got to sit with the guests and enjoy the food ourselves!

After the meal the newlyweds went around to each table in a traditional toasting to wish them good health and happiness for the future. I absolutely loved this vibrant and exciting wedding, for more Manchester Wedding Photography check out my most recent weddings here.
