A gorgeous African/English wedding in Wigan with quite possibly the wildest party I’ve ever been to!
Up next on the blog is the amazing wedding of Jennifer and Francis which I had the pleasure of shooting with Kyle Mcloughlin of Weddings by Kyle. I love working with new people, and working with Kyle is aways fun. Being the second photographer at a wedding allows me to see things from another perspective and I believe also refreshes me and makes me a better photographer so that I can give my couples 100%.
This wedding was nothing short of epic, with 274 guests and a British/African fusion it was always going to be an amazing party!
We arrived with Jennifer at bridal preparations in the hotel in the morning and there was a bustle of bridesmaids getting ready for the big day. Jen was calm and relaxed as the buzz of people flurried around her getting everything ready. Jen wore a gorgeous rouched white dress with killer Jimmy Choo heels that made my feet hurt just looking at them!
I went down to meet the boys and the excitement was palpable as the guests started arriving and filling up the huge room ready for the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful and filled with love and laughter.
The day continued to be fun and colour filled with family from all over the world coming together to help Jen and Francis celebrate. The speeches were hilarious with the highlight the being maid of honour’s rap in honour of the bride and groom, getting everyone up dancing on their chairs!
And then, there was the party! Now I’ve been to some parties, but these guys really knew how to dance. Jen got changed into an African outfit ready for the entering into the room, where her and francis danced into the room with all of Francis’ family and shaked their asses like i’ve never seen before and then continued to dance non stop for about 30 minutes, i was sweating just looking at them!
