Intimate Chester Zoo Wedding- Chester Wedding Photography
I have a lovely intimate wedding at Chester Zoo up next, packed with quirky details and the most awesome family (i’m slightly biased as i went to School with Claire) this wedding was an absolute belter!
Claire and I went to high school together and were in a close knit group of friends sharing birthdays, exam stress and one or two under age *ahem* drinks for our 16th the year we left school. But life got in the way and we grew apart when we both started college. So i was thrilled when Claire got in touch to tell me she was getting married and asked me to be her wedding photographer!
Claire and Derek met at University and decided to have a sunny wedding on a beautiful little island in Australia then came home to their wedding celebration at Chester Zoo. Chester Zoo has a lovely house which is the perfect setting for a wedding reception, nestled within the grounds of the Zoo. Claire had grown up obsessed with animals, especially elephants so when choosing their venue it was always going to be something like this.
After a lovely portrait session with the loved up newlyweds, we were able to go on a walking safari around the Zoo, which was pretty amazing as part of a wedding day. The guests loved it even though it was a little wetter than we might have liked. The speeches were done during a lovely afternoon Tea in Oakfield House and were touching and hilarious.
It’s been a little while since these two got married, since then they’ve had a beautiful miracle baby girl and are now a very happy family of three.
