Higher Trapp Wedding Photography
Matthew & Rebecca’s wedding is up next and what a lovely day it was! They chose the Higher Trapp in Simonstone near Burnley for their wedding. A lovely venue with huge landscaped grounds which are perfect for an outdoor ceremony and also make a lovely backdrop for wedding photographs. I’ve not been here for a while and it’s 5 minutes from my house which is always a nice bonus!
Rebecca & Matthew met online playing a video game! I know right, of all the ways I’ve heard of couples meeting, that has to be the best and how lovely that they found each other this way. Rebecca was living in the south and decided to move up north to Accrington to be with Matthew after they hit it off. When planning their wedding they had already fallen in love with the Higher Trapp and as Rebecca worked there it made everything just perfect.
Rebecca wore a lovely rouched dress from the bridal lounge in Accrington. Bridesmaids wore lovely mint green dresses with embellished shoulders and the boys wore very smart three piece suits with tails and details matching the bridesmaids. The lovely couple managed an outdoor ceremony before the heavens opened and everyone had to dash inside wielding brollies as the lovely British weather did its worst!
The rain was on and off all day but we managed to work around the downpours for photographs of the newlyweds.
The room was decorated with rustic details, tree trunk candle holders and cake stand with green details to match the wedding colours. After the hilarious and heartwarming speeches it was time to party, as the wedding guests from all over the country filled the dance floor!
Congratulations you two, it was lovely being a part of your day. For more lancashire wedding photography head over to the gallery.
