Charlotte & Jame’s Browsholme Hall Wedding was an absolute delight of a day packed with lovely people, seriously hot weather and so much laughter!
I really am a hopeless romantic, plus i’m a teeny bit nosy! So i always ask my couples how they met and got engaged. It really helps me get to know a couple and tell their story as authentically as possible. Here’s what Charlotte told me “We met nearly 9 years ago at when I was at Birmingham University and James was working at the hospital attached to my placement. We are both doctors working in Manchester now. We have lived together for 5 years (except for 18 months where James moved up to Newcastle for work). We got engaged at his flat in Newcastle after a lovely day out round a stately home. We had cooked together in the flat and James asked me to go and get some fizz from the fridge. He had written in Scrabble letter on the fridge. ‘Will you marry me’. I completely missed it and started pouring the fizz. He was waiting behind the door and had to shout through ‘’read the fridge’. He then came round and got down on one knee. It was lovely as it was very low key… and after a day of doing our favourite things together (walking and cooking!) He had chosen the ring which was exactly what I would have chosen myself (amazingly!).
Browsholme Hall Wedding
Browsholme Hall is one of my favourite Wedding Venues in the Ribble Valley, not least for it’s gorgeous surroundings, lake and lovely staff. But also because it’s where i get married in just a few months time!
Browsholme Hall Wedding ceremonies sometimes take place in the lovely rustic tithe barn, but can also be done in the drawing room inside the Hall itself. Charlotte & James opted for a church ceremony in the gorgeous old All Hallows Church in Mitton then celebrated at Browsholme Hall afterwards.
Charlotte & James chose multicoloured pastel flowers to decorate the barn which matched the bridal bouquets and gave the room a lovely splash of colour. In reference to the proposal they had scrabble letters for the names on the tables which was a lovely touch.
It was near 30 degrees and sure how the bridal party didn’t melt but they all looked stunning. Charlotte wore a beautiful ivory gown which was classic and simple on the front with the most exquisite detail on the back. The boys all matched in three piece suits with tails and bridesmaids looked lovely in baby blue full length dresses.
It really was the most wonderful day and such a pleasure to be their wedding photographer. Here’s the highlights from the day in a slideshow.
