Jennifer & Mark’s Beautiful Wedding in Blackburn
I recently had the pleasure of working with my lovely friend Rachel from Rachel Joyce Photography to shoot Jennifer & Mark’s wedding in Blackburn.
I went over to meet the boys at the Millstone at Mellor where Mark and his groomsmen were getting ready. Mark wore a kilt with the traditional family tartan and all the groomsmen followed suit which looked amazing for the photos, even if we did get a few flashes whilst lying on the floor! Jennifer wore a stunning white dress with Chantilly lace and embellished neckline and the bridesmaids wore deep green fitted dresses which tied in very well with all the groomsmen and their kilts!
They got married at St Silas Church on Preston New Road in Blackburn for a traditional ceremony as the rain poured outside. After the ceremony and a few rather soggy photos we all headed down the road for the reception which was in a marquee in the grounds of Jennifer’s dad’s art studio. The studio is surrounded by acres of woodland and beautiful gardens which surrounded the marquee. The Marquee had been filled with lovely personal touches. With plants and flowers forming the centrepieces on the tables and adding a splash of colour to the room.
After the immense speeches it was time for the wedding breakfast, for which they had Mediterranean meat platters to share, followed by an amazing Hog Roast, which i was lucky enough to sample myself!
In the evening Jennifer & Mark had organised a Ceilidh Dance which got all the guests up dancing as they tried to follow the instructions. I love Ceilidh’s at weddings because even the most shy and dance floor phobic guests get up and join in and have a great time which is lovely to photograph.
