I absolutely loved this Wedding at Abbey House Hotel in the Lake District. With gorgeous flowers, details and a lovely rustic theme this had me feeling all Christmassy!
I asked Nikki and Stu to tell me how they met and got engaged and here’s what they said “We went to the same school and for years had probably crossed paths many of times although we went on our first date March 2012. Stu plucked up the courage and asked via facebook! We both met loving clubbing, the gym and our love for live bands…. The only thing that still remains is the love for live bands! We bought our first home in July 2014 and Stuart popped the question in March 2016 at Ribby Hall Village, slightly hungover we went on a paddle boat round the lake, besides being attacked by ducks and geese Stuart very romantically asked me to marry him. We celebrated for a good 3-4months!”
Abbey House Hotel- Lake District Wedding Photographer
Abbey House Hotel is in Barrow in Furness surrounded by lush woodland and countryside, not forgetting the historical Furness Abbey which is a short walk from the venue and makes for some pretty amazing Wedding Photography backdrops. Abbey House is a beautiful mansion with everything to make the perfect wedding venue.
Nikki & Stu’s wedding had a rustic woodland theme which looked amazing with the Christmas decorations at the venue, Nikki & Stu also took their own Christmas tree to decorate the room!
Nikki wore a jaw dropping essence of Australia dress which showed off her tiny frame and custom made a lace cape which gave her two very different looks on the day. The flowers were beautiful wintry wild flowers with lots of foliage and soft pinks.
Here’s a few of my favourites from their day along with their highlight slideshow! Pop over to the recent wedding section for more wedding inspiration.
